This is a computer generated knitting pattern for a sock; knit flat on a single bed knitting machine.

Knitting the Leg

Cast on stitches on alternating needles on waste yarn
Knit for rows. Put the cast on stitches from the waste yarn onto the alternating needles. stitches in total.
Knit for rows.


Knitting the Heel

Put the left half of the stitches on hold, these are not to be worked for the rest of the heel. working stitches. Knit 1 row.
For the next rows, put the furthest working needle from the carriage into hold.
Make sure to wrap the yarn around the needle after you pass the carriage across.

For the next rows, return the furthest hold needle into the working (ignoring the stitches put on hold at the begining of the heel).

Knitting the Foot

Bring all needles back into working position.

Knit for rows.


Knitting the Toe

Put the right half of the stitches on hold, these are not to be worked for the rest of the toe. Knit 1 row.
For the next rows, put the furthest working needle from the carriage into hold.
Make sure to wrap the yarn around the needle after you pass the carriage across.

For the next rows, return the furthest hold needle into the working (ignoring the stitches put on hold at the begining of the toe).

Making Up

Bind off entire width onto waste yarn.
Kitchener Stitch the toe together.
Sew up the side seam from the toe all the way up the side using mattress stitch.
When making the second sock; put the stitches on hold on the right side instead of the left, this means that the seam will be on the opposite side which will make a better 'pair'.
